Hand made from red clay. This dark forest landscape “painting” is added via meticulously carving onto a white engobed surface, then applying a cobalt wash and wiping it back. A clear glaze is then added on top. Cobalt being a very strong colorant made for an unintentionally, but lovely moody vibe. It is fired onto the piece and permanent. (No actual paint is used. It’s all ceramic)

The magnet backing is permanently glued with a heavy duty gel superglue. The clay underneath has been scored/texturized for a little extra “insurance”.
